New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced his resignation effected in 14 days. His announcement comes on the heels of numerous allegations made by women alleging the governor engaged in sexual misconduct. Kathy Hochul New York’s Lieutenant Governor will assume the full role as governor of New York on August 24, 2021. She will serve out the remainder of Cuomo’s term that ends January 1, 2023.
