Rapper turned business mogul Shawn Carter, popularly known as Jay- Z started a $10 million fund to help minorities enter the bulging cannabis industry. Jay-Z’s motivation for starting the fund is simply to level the playing field. Shawn Carter stated, “We were the ones most negatively affected by the war on drugs, and America has turned around and created a business from it that’s worth billions.”
